A redesign of an event management system for an exclusive social group, focusing on streamlining the event creation and management process through user-centered design principles.

The problem

Creating, editing and managing events takes too long and is often burdened by aged UI and UX.

The solution

Completely update UI, rethink layouts and optimize flows for a smoother, more pleasing, experience.

User Research

  • Conducted in-depth interviews with 2 distinct user types: members and administrators

  • Identified key friction points in the existing event creation workflow

Challenge 1: Member Notifications

  • Users expected automatic member notifications for new events.

  • Solution: Implemented post-publish notification system with email integration and direct event page links

Challenge 2: External Service Integration

  • Discovery of mandatory external database compatibility requirement revealed by interviews.

  • Solution: Added flexible toggle system in event creation flow with retroactive editing capabilities
